MACDONALD.- Peacefully and with dignity after illnesses borne without complaint on 10th April 2017, within the care of Cowal Hospice, Dunoon, Jeanette Macdonald Macdonald (née Fraser). Born in Bonar Bridge, educated at Dornoch Academy and Robert Gordon College, Aberdeen. Formerly the youngest appointed Housekeeper to Residential School at Castlecraig for Special Needs' Children 1970-1985, then to Caol Ruadh, Colintraive 1985-1998 and Catering Manager at Strachur Primary 1998-2007. Devoted wife to Tam, mother to Malcolm and Moira, Granny Jeanette to Craig, Amé, Calum and Sarah and older sister to Helen. Devoted to family and friends, she saw some good in everyone, such was her nature. Long may we love and remember her. The Funeral Service will be held at St. John's Church, Dunoon on Wednesday, 19th April at 1.00 p.m. and thereafter to Greenock Crematorium at 3.00 pm., to which all are invited. Family flowers only please but donations, if desired, to Cowal Hospice, Diabetes U.K., Marie Curie and Alzheimer's/Dementia Research.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Jeanette, I used to work with her in Castlecraig Residential School away back in 1970. My sympathy goes to Tam and family at this sad time.xx

Very sad news. My thoughts are with Tam and the family and I wish them comfort at this time.

Happy memories of being so well looked after by Jeanette and her team when I started working at Castlecraig.
