No rest at Biggar as season looms
PRE-SEASON training has started at Biggar.
All interested players regardless of experience are asked to make themselves available for what is surely to be a challenging pre-season training under the expert eye of Gary Parker.
Premier 1 beckons once again and the squad must try to get a march on the other teams again by hitting the road running and being in tip-top condition.
If playing isn’t your aim then there are a variety of events planned for the summer months so that you don’t weary! Nearly all are family based events and all are welcome to attend – the more the merrier!
Things kick-off this weekend with a quiz night on Friday with Quizmaster David Adams in charge. Rules are simple — four per team £5 entry. 7 p.m start.
Tomorrow, Saturday sees the inaugural touch rugby tournament. Competition is eight-a-side and each team must have at least one under-18 player, one over-35 and no more than three 1st XV players.
Malky Bruce is the man in charge and entries suggest that this will be a fun event with some healthy competition thrown in. Participants and spectators are all welcome.
Entry is £20 per team and the action starts at 2 p.m. Players are all asked to be present by 1.30 p.m. at the very latest. A barbeque and children’s entertainment are all organised.
