Cusiter will fight back

BRITISH Lions Chris Cusiter has missed out on a starting place in the Scotland side to play Argentina, tomorrow, Saturday, in the Bank of Scotland Corporate Autumn Test at Murrayfield.

Cusiter, who failed to make the Lions side in any of the three defeats by the All Blacks, is on the bench after coach Frank Hadden opted for Edinburgh’s Mike Blair in preference to the Border Reiver.

Cusiter was said to be disappointed at his omission. “I have been fortunate in my professional career that selection has gone my way so far.

“Now I need to get my head down and keep working to get back into the side.”

However, prop Douglas will start while Kelly Brown is on the bench.

The team, to be captained by Jason White, is:

Chris Paterson (Edinburgh Gunners); Rory Lamont (Glasgow Warriors), Marcus Di Rollo (Edinburgh Gunners), Andy Henderson (Glasgow Warriors) and Sean Lamont (Northampton Saints);

Dan Parks (Glasgow Warriors) and Mike Blair (Edinburgh Gunners); Gavin Kerr (Leeds Tykes), Dougie Hall (Edinburgh Gunners), Bruce Douglas (Border Reivers), Hamilton (Glasgow Warriors), Scott Murray (Edinburgh Gunners), Jason White (Sale Sharks), captain, Simon Taylor (Edinburgh Gunners) and Allister Hogg (Edinburgh Gunners)

Substitutes — Scott Lawson (Glasgow Warriors), Craig Smith (Edinburgh Gunners), Allan Jacobsen (Edinburgh Gunners), Alastair Kellock (Edinburgh Gunners), Kelly Brown (Border Reivers), Chris Cusiter (Border Reivers) and Hugo Southwell (Edinburgh Gunners).
