PEEBLES hope to bounce back from Saturday’s defeat at Kirkcaldy with a home win over Irvine.
The defeat disappointed rugby director Bob Hogarth, who was ‘just delighted’ to come away with a bonus point.
‘We always knew it would be difficult, and we now know that tye rest of the season will be hard.
“I have always said that there is still a lot of rugby to be played.
“We still have to go to Ellon (January 19), and we have never won there!”
Peebles 2nds are in action tonight, Friday, at Philiphaugh.
Biggar face a tricky trip to Jed-Forest in their quest for a place back in Premiership 1.
And while Boroughmuir are expected to clinch Premiership 1 tomorr when they host GHA, the other two divisions will go down to the wire.
Peebles 2nd XV to play Selkirk 2nd at Selkirk tonight. Transport leaves at 5.45 p.m. for a 7.30 p.m. kick off.
