Peebles S1 50, Boroughmuir S1 0

THIS latest in a series of outstanding wins must have left Boroughmuir urging on the final whistle in the Edinburgh Netball League.

Peebles S1 team showed no mercy in producing a magnificent performance, consolidating their growing reputation as one of the best young teams to emerge this year.

Shooters Pettitt and Anderson in particular had an exceptional game, working together to dominate the attacking area and leaving the Boroughmuir defence in tatters.

O’Fee in goal defence shows improvement in every game and worked well with ’keeper Smith to block most of the Boroughmuir break-through moves.

Ruby Anderson, the team captain in centre, also produced one of her best performances to control the midfield play alongside Howie and Hogg.

With substitutes Walker and Scott also having a run-out as goal attack/goal shooter, all squad players contributed to the well deserved final scoreline and gave the large contingent of Peebles supporters a big match to remember.

The S1 team was: Ruby Davidson (Centre) (Capt), Holly Anderson (Goal Shooter), Jo Pettitt (Goal Attack), Lauren Hogg (Wing Attack), Rachel Howie (Wing Defence), Alice O’Fee (Goal Defence), Caitlin Smith (Goalkeeper), Carly Walker, Emma Scott (subs).
