'We're taking nothing for granted' says Pees
PEEBLES Rugby Director Bob Hogarth has returned from holiday and ‘cruised’ into calm waters at The Gytes.
His team did him proud in his absence and remain on course for a place in Premiership 2 next season.
But he warned: “We are not counting our chickens. There are still a few more games to go.”
And that begins tomorrow, Saturday, with a home clash with Irvine.
Hogarth told the Peeblesshire News: “We will be taking nothing for granted. Of course, we want to win every game, but it’s the old cliché, one game at a time.”
Irvine won at Berwick at the weekend and will be looking to add another Borders scalp.
Peebles hope that the weather will not stop the game going ahead.
Biggar are also playing catch-up as they travel to face Jed-Forest in Premiership 2.
They cannot afford a defeat as they fight out the two promotion places with West of Scotland and Selkirk.
Jed will have a say in the championship as they host Selkirk next weekend.
Peebles teams have been selected for this weekend as follows:
1st XV to play Irvine at the Gytes. Meet at 1.45 p.m. for a 3 p.m. kick off.
