Quality mark!
Pictured at the SFA Quality Mark certificate presentation at Peebles are Tom Cooke, secretary of the juniors; Michael Sharpe, the SFA's East Regional manager; David Graham, vice-chairman of Peebles; and Drew Kelly, SFA Borders Development Officer.
IT was Quality all round at Whitestone Park on Saturday when Peebles FC received their SFA Quality Mark certificate.
Michael Sharpe, East Regional Manager of the SFA, was on hand to present the award to Peebles vice-chairman David Graham.
Then Peebles went on to put their East of Scotland League season back on track with a 5-0 win over Ormiston.
This weekend, the new SFA Regional Cup kicks off with Peebles heading to Heriot-Watt University.
Manager Mark Lamb says that the competition will give the players a break from the pressures of the league.
But it’s the matches against the South of Scotland clubs will bring added interest.
Gala Fairydean entertian Newton Stewart while Stranraer make the long journey to Selkirk.
Kelso face a trip to Gatehouse-on-Fleet to play Fleet Star while Hawick Royal Albert plays host to Mid Annandale.
The new competition is seen as a major new challenge between the East of Scotland and South of Scotland League.
It is hoped that the attraction of new clubs will bring crowds to the games.
