Notice of Pre-application Consultation Event
Description of Proposed Development
Planning permission is being applied for to construct a new poultry shed to
house 169,128 laying hens in a colony system.
Location of Proposed Development
Whim Poultry Farm, Lamancha, Peeblesshire - 2.8 km south west of Leadburn
junction on A701 road.
Location of Information
Draft site plans and Community Fact Sheet are available to be viewed from SAC
Environment and Design, Pentland Building, Bush Estate, Penicuik EH26 0PH,
and will be available at the public open day.
Date and Place of Public Event
The open day will be held on Wednesday 15th February in the Main Hall at
Lamancha Hub, Old Moffat Road, Lamancha, Peeblesshire, EH46 7BD from
11.00am to 7.00pm.
Comments by the Public to the Applicant
Following the public event, members of the public have 21 days to make
representation to the Applicant's consultants:
SAC Consulting, Environment and Design, Pentland Building, Bush Estate,
Penicuik, Midlothian, EH26 0PH.

The comments made by the public are not representations to the planning
authority but should an application be submitted to the planning authority there

ENGAGEMENT EVENT

DETAILED PLANNING APPLICATION FOR
THE ERECTION OF A RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT
AND ASSOCIATED INFRASTRUCTURE INCLUDING
ROADS AND FOOTPATHS, SUDS SYSTEM AND OPEN
SPACE AT LAND TO THE SOUTH OF DEANFOOT ROAD AT ROBINSLAND FARM, WEST LINTON

Notice is hereby given of a drop in event for all members of the public to attend to learn more about the above proposed development which will later be pursued with a detailed planning application to be lodged with The Borders Council in May 2012.
The event will be held in the Graham Institute, Lower Green, West Linton, EH 46 7 EW on Friday 10th February between the hours of 2 pm and 8 pm. At the event, representatives of Springfield Properties PLC will be on hand to answer questions raised by the attending public.
Further information relating to the development can be sought from Springfield Properties PLC, Springfield House, 3 Central Park Avenue, Falkirk, FK 5 4 RX (tel 01324 555536). An information pamphlet and feedback form will be provided at the drop in event and all those in attendance are encouraged to complete the form expressing their views on the proposed development. The completed forms should be handed to a Springfield Properties representative or sent to the companys address as noted above.
For the avoidance of doubt it should be noted that any comments submitted about the proposed development, either at the event itself or subsequently by post, do not constitute representations to the Local Planning Authority. The opportunity to submit any representation in relation to the development can only be done after the detailed planning application is formally submitted to The Borders Council.
