CLASSIC rock tribute band Strange Brew make a welcome return to the Eastgate Theatre on Saturday, October 24 following last year’s exceptional sold out show. Recently described as “one of the best cover bands in the UK”, Strange Brew focus solely on the classic rock of the late 60s and 70s in a show that will thrill local rock fans.

Strange Brew’s repertoire mixes era-defining anthems such as Free's All Right Now, Deep Purple's Smoke on the Water and Cream's Sunshine of Your Love with lesser known but equally powerful tracks from the likes of The Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Humble Pie. This unique blend of songs ensures a Strange Brew show caters for all, with hardcore rock fans hearing rare album tracks they haven't heard since their vinyl collection bit the dust!

The band recently appeared at the UK’s largest Harley Davidson rally, Thunder in the Glens, and so will be firing on all cylinders by the time they hit the Eastgate. Singer Kris said: “It’s always a great night at the Eastgate, with a great crowd and we can’t wait to return.”

Special guests opening the show will be the Rising Souls. Based in Edinburgh, the Rising Souls are one of Scotland’s most exciting bands, blending a wide range of influences from soul, blues and country to generate a unique and unmistakable sound. The band has recently featured on STV’s The Riverside Show on a number of occasions, and have being performing around the UK and in Europe to great acclaim.

The Eastgate gig looks to be a great chance to catch the band in such an intimate and local setting, as they begin to rise up on the national scene.
