THIS powerful live performance and multimedia show is a journey through the friendship and career of Simon & Garfunkel.
It arrives in Peebles following a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Featuring interviews with Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, original movie footage and wonderful live performances by Bookends, the show features hits like Mrs Robinson, The Boxer and the unforgettable Bridge Over Troubled Water. A must see for any music lover this is an authentic tribute and much more as it takes you on a journey from the start of their career through to the much publicised break-up.
Made up of close friends Dan Haynes & Pete Richards, Bookends are fast becoming known for recreating the sound of Simon & Garfunkel, with their renditions being described by the Exmouth Journal as ‘perfect’. The Bookends show ‘Simon & Garfunkel: Through The Years’ was labelled as “a must see” following a BBC Radio tour in 2013 and when two voices sound this good together it’s easy to understand why.
They play at the Eastgate Theatre in Peebles on Saturday, June 4.
Tickets are priced £16, £14 concessions and £6 for schoolchildren.
