COMMUNITY choir InChorus are preparing to welcome in the most wonderful time of the year.

The tuneful singers have announced that its fundraising and charity Christmas concert will take place on Saturday, December 9.

And it is expected the Peebles Old Parish Church for the seasonal performance.

The fun filled evening will feature a mixture of seasonal and contemporary songs, with an odd Christmas carol or two thrown in to allow the audience to join in.

Joining InChorus will be Edinburgh-based the RingTones, who will perform several pieces from their own Christmas repertoire.

Choir manager Lorna Turnbull told us: “This is the type of concert InChoristers love best.

"We will be performing in our home town to our families, friends and to our ever supportive public.

"The event will feature InChorus, with a number or two from our RingTones pals.

"We want the audience to leave at the end full of song and the spirit of Christmas.”.

In addition to the music this there will be a chance to guess the weight of the cake, or number of sweets in the jar and buy raffle tickets for various prizes, including a Christmas hamper or two.

Doors will open at 6.45pm and the choir performing from around 7.30pm.

Entry will be by donation at the door.
