POLICE have released the name of the Wee County man who died in a car crash on Wednesday morning.
Andrew Nisbet (58) was killed when his vehicle was struck by a van on the B7066 Whitburn Link Road, in West Lothian.
The father-of-two, from Alloa, was sat in a stationary car at around 7am when the collision occurred.
Family members have since paid tribute to their "much loved" husband and dad.
Issuing a statement through Police Scotland, they said: “Andrew was a much loved husband and father of two who will be sorely missed.
“We value the support of all our family and friends at this very sad time and would ask the media to please leave us to grieve and come to terms with our loss in private.”
The driver of the van involved in the crash suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident.
Investigators remained on the scene, near to Polkemmet Country Park, until around mid-day on Wednesday.
Inquiries into the full circumstances are ongoing and Police Scotland have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the crash to come forward.
Sergeant Scott Sneddon said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who saw this accident. Anyone with information is asked to contact us by calling 101.”
