PEEBLES March Riding and Beltane Queen Festival Committee will be holding the annual Three Bridges Race on Sunday, May 1.

Now celebrating its 35th year, this annual event starts and finishes on Tweed Green.

The runners will race along the paths on the banks of the Tweed, under Tweed Bridge, over Fotheringham Bridge and over Priorsford Bridge. Once circuit of the course being 1.5 miles.

There are races for all ages, ranging from Primary schools to local clubs competing over one lap, while the professional runners will run for big prize money over a long distance.

In conjunction with the running, there will be a Fete on Tweed Green with various stalls and small Fairground attractions.

Local organisations are encouraged o take a stall at the Fete. There will be no charges made for these stalls, but a donation can be made to the Beltane Committee if the stall has been profitable.
