THERE has been no change in either of the two Borders Scottish Parliament constituencies.

But a large swing towards the Conservatives has been witnessed in both seats.

John Lamont increased his majority to hold Ettrick, Roxburgh and Berwickshire.

And in Midlothian South, Tweeddale and Lauderdale the SNP's Christine Grahame also enjoyed an increased majority, although the Tory candidate Michelle Ballantyne saw her party's vote increase from under 4,000 to over 10,000 votes to claim second.

A collapse for the Lib Dems was witnessed in both constituencies - being relegated to fourth in Midlothian South, Tweeddale and Lauderdale, and a distant third in Ettrick, Roxburgh and Berwickshire.
