A 20-year-old male has been remanded in custody after being accused of taking part in a raid on a convenience store in Innerleithen.
Marques Munro, from Nottingham, is charged with assault and robbery following an incident at the Caddon Court Mini Market in Innerleithen on Saturday, May 14.
He made no plea or declaration during a brief private hearing at Jedburgh Sheriff Court this week and the case was continued for further examination.
Munro, who is from the Bulwell area of Nottingham, had his application for bail refused and was remanded in custody by Sheriff Peter Paterson.
He is expected to appear in court again next Tuesday.
