A FARM fire safety and crime prevention event will be held at Haswellsykes Farm, Peebles.
Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and NFU Scotland are collaborating on this free and informal event – which aims to promote continued engagement with the local farming community and will provide an opportunity to discuss current rural crime and fire-related issues.
The event, open to all farmers, is on Thursday, June 9, between 1pm and 3:30pm.
Crime prevention officer PC Nick Walker said: “Representatives from Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue and NFUS will be available to provide advice and to discuss a wide range of issues including general and specific fire safety and crime prevention measures including wildlife crime.
"This is the third event in our ongoing series of walk and talks and It’s a great opportunity for local farmers to meet with us and discuss issues on an informal basis.”
