DESPITE the drizzle, spirits weren't dampened in Peebles last night as the Beltane Festival got underway.
Crowds flocked to see the Inaugural Service at the Old Parish Church on Sunday evening - the first event in a jam-packed week of festivities.
A parade of supporters led by Cornet Kieran Scott holding the Burgh Standard, with Cornet Elect Colin Dodds not far behind, filled the streets of Peebles and made their way to the Parish Church for the ceremony, and then back to the Burgh Chambers.
Cornet Kieran is gearing up to retire from his role, as 2016s Cornet Elect Colin looks ahead to his installation on Wednesday.
Keep an eye out, there's more pics to follow throughout the day!
And...Don't miss this Friday's Peeblesshire for all the photos and highlights from Sunday and throughout the week!
