VALE of Leithen Football Club was badly damaged when it was targeted by vandals this week.
The incident is believed to have happened at the Innerleithen ground sometime between 1pm on Monday, July 4, and 8.45pm on Tuesday, July 5.
The roof of the dugout area was vandalised and down pipes were ripped from the stand, causing around £200 worth of damage.
Constable Kirsty Neish said: "We are appealing for witnesses in relation to a vandalism at Vale of Leithen Football Club, Hall Street, Innerleithen.
"It is believed that a group of youths have vandalised the roof of the dugout area and ripped off down pipes on the stand causing around £200 worth of damage.
"Could anyone with any information please contact PC Shona Furness at Peebles Police Station via 101."
