THE curtain has come down St Ronan's Games Week for another year and what a memorable 10 days it has been.

2016 marked the 189th Birthday of the historic Games - which grows more and more popular with every year.

And, despite the less-than-summery weather, hundreds of hearty St Ronanites still joined in the fun, supported the principals, and helped make every event over Games Week a huge success.

Well done to Standard Bearer Ross Brown, his Lass Faye Nicholson, Dux Boy and St Ronan Rory MacDonald, Dux Girls Abbie Glendinning and Robyn Keddie, Lantern Bearer Stuart Whiteford, the Monks, the Sash Girls, Lady Busser Sophie McGhee Hilton, the Principal Guest Gen Harrison, and everybody else involved for making it another memorable year.
