STARDUST Music Theatre Company is a brand new venture specifically designed for youngsters who want to develop their talents in singing, acting, and dancing.

The weekly tutorials will run from September 1 throughout the year at the Eastgate Theatre in Peebles - classes have been filling up fast but there are some limited spaces still available.

And, on March 11 next year, the young performers will present their debut showcase at the Eastgate, to show off their newly sharpened skills.

Anyone aged between five and 18 is welcome to go along.

Stardust founder Fiona Henderson said: "Musical Theatre has been one of the fastest growing parts of the Fiona Henderson School of Dance and Performing Arts in recent years so much so that we decided to establish Stardust as a brand new stand-alone theatre company in its own right, which provides greater opportunities for performing for young people in the Borders.

"Musicals continue to grow in popularity – our 2016/7 course will focus on six very different musicals. In designing Stardust, we have created a tuition programme which will coach and develop our members in the range of musical theatre skills of acting, characterisation, singing and movement with specialist tutors leading each subject area."

Tuition is provided by three experts in their respective fields: Fiona Henderson, Movement and Dance; Aly Skidmore, Singing; and Jessica Johnson, Acting and Characterisation.
