A PEEBLES woman claims she was attacked with a knife after attempting to collect a debt.
And also suffered a severe injury during the confrontation.
Kendra Morris said she visited 24-year-old Zoe Owen at her home in the Eastgate on April 19 in an attempt to get money she says she was owed.
Selkirk Sheriff Court was told Owen refused to pay the money, brandished a knife and struggled with Ms Morris.
The court was told she attempt to strike Ms Morris on the neck with the weapon and then struck her on her hand to her severe injury.
Owen - now living at Restalrig Road in Edinburgh - has denied the charge.
The trial has been adjourned to allow more evidence to be heard on Thursday, September 1.
