DON'T FORGET! The clocks go back this weekend and it's a chance for an extra hour in bed! We've complied a few quick questions and answers about why they change.

When do the clocks actually go back?

A: The clocks go back at 1am on Sunday morning. So the UK reverts to GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) at 2.00am on Sunday, October 30.

Why do we put the clocks back?

A: The UK introduced daylight savings time during the first world war. It came into use across the world during the 1970s because of the energy crisis.

Will my mobile phone update?

Yes, if you have a device such as an iPhone, iPad and Mac they will automatically change.

Don't forget to check you have your 'Date and Time' settings to see if the 'Set Automatically' function is turned on.

For many android devices and other smartphones, your network operators should change the time accordingly so you shouldn't have to do anything, but make sure you have automatic updates set to your phone.

Remember - Some clocks will need to be changed manually - or you'll face the consequences when turning up to work on Monday morning.
