THE latest police report for the Innerleithen area shows that officers were called out 36 times between Sunday, January 8 and Saturday, February 4.

On Tuesday, January 10, police received a report regarding youths entering an insecure property at Waverley Road, Innerleithen. The front door to the property was bolted but there is no roof.

CCTV covering the area has identified the youths responsible and will be dealt with accordingly by Police.

On Friday, January 13, police received a report regarding keep left signs upon traffic island at Peebles road had been damaged. Enquiries are ongoing.

On Monday, January 23, while carrying out a mobile patrol on Innerleithen Road, Officers observed a motor vehicle being driven at speed with excessive revving.

The driver was issued with an ASBO ticket. The ticket means if the driver is found to be driving this vehicle or any other vehicle in an anti-social manner within the next year, the vehicle will be seized and taken to pound were it will cost £130 to retrieve.

Throughout this period, two parking tickets were issued and no reports of anti-social behaviour or misuse of drugs were made.

During the same period, there were two-vehicle accidents with no injuries reported.
