THE final chapter for a Peebles Mural Project has been completed with the installation of an interpretation panel containing information on the stories behind the artwork.

The panel was unveiled by the former chairman of Peebles Community Council Robin Tatler, Manager of RBS in Peebles Margaret Grierson, and Chairman of the Peebles Callants Club Craig Luskie.

Robin told the Peeblesshire News: "I am delighted to be alongside Margaret and Craig to unveil our brand new information panel which will make the mural much more accessible for both visitors and locals alike in Peebles."

The panel, which was funded by a Community Grant from Scottish Borders Council, was put in place by the Callants Club, with materials donated by the Peebles Branch of Travis Perkins.

The Peebles Mural, located in Pennel’s Close just of the High Street, depicts the history and culture of Peebles and was completed by local artist Michael Jessing in 2015.
