AN Innerleithen Parish Church is on the hunt for memorabilia ahead of their 150th anniversary.

Organisers are appealing to folk across the Borders to prepare for an exhibition to coincide with the landmark event in August.

The main events for this celebration are set to be held between Friday, August 11 to Friday, August 18.

The former church at Kirklands closed on August 11, 1867, and the first service in the current building took place on August 18.

Bob Scott from the Church told us: "We are looking for memorabilia from 1867 onwards in preparation for an exhibition in the Church during Innerleithen Games Week in July.

"We are hoping that people in the community may have some photographs or other items of interest to form part of the exhibition.

"We are happy to discuss the arrangements for safeguarding the items loaned to us."

Enquiries can be made to Julia Stoddart on 01896 830410 or Bob Scott on 01896 831152 for further details.
