A 28-YEAR-OLD man has been charged in connection with the possession and supply of illegal drugs following a search warrant at an Innerleithen property.
The crackdown by police took place at the Borders home on Wednesday, April 12.
A report has since been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Community Inspector Tony Hodges of Galashiels Police Station said: “Our proactive drugs operations combined with information from the public has resulted in us taking more illegal drugs off the streets of the Scottish Borders.
“Tackling drug crime is a top priority for Police Scotland and we have a zero tolerance policy towards drug related offences. We continue to deal with any offences reported to the police using every resource at our disposal.
“The public can assist greatly in helping police tackle drug related offences and I would urge anyone with information on offences of this nature in their area to come forward to police or contact the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
