TWEEDBANK Thistle FC celebrated its 22nd year in style earlier this month.

Amazingly, the club now has over 100 players and over 20 SFA qualified coaches.

The success and sustainability allows the club to offer young players innovative coaching with Box Soccer and to run their own day camps.

Last week coaches and officials held the Annual End of Season Awards - and the event attracted a record attendance.

David Moffat from Tweeddbank Thistle told us: "We strive to continually give our players of all ability, the opportunity to play and enjoy football at affordable prices.

"As a club we are committed to nurturing our players' future and giving them access to opportunities that will not just further their football career but set them with a solid foundation.

"It was an incredible honour to present our players with their awards and certificates in front of their fellow peers, coaches, family members and sponsors."

More than 100 youngsters took part in the Annual End of Season Awards at Tweedbank Community Centre.

Each player was presented with a medal and a certificate for their efforts and personal achievements by their coaches.

Player awards for each age group were also given out.
