A TWEEDDALE road is set to close for four days while patching work is carried out.

The improvements to the B7062 (from Peebles to Cardrona) will begin on Monday, with the first phase taking place between Peebles and Laverlaw.

The second phase will follow on Wednesday and Thursday between Laverlaw and Cardrona.

And the route will be closed to through traffic from 9am to 3pm each day for the duration of the works. 

A Scottish Borders Council spokesperson said: "Scottish Borders Council will endeavour to provide access to local businesses as well as residential properties, with delays expected.

"In the event of adverse weather conditions, these works will be postponed.

"The council thanks the local community for their patience during the works."
