A NEW support group for parents with twins or multiples has been re-established in Peeblesshire this month.

The Peeblesshire Twin and Multiple Group was first established in January 2011 as a support group.

The organisation offered tips and advice to parents, whilst also taking part in events such as the Beltane and also holding fundraisers before the group’s eventual disbandment.

Local mothers are keen to see the group begin again, with regular meetings set to become a regular occurrence at Cardrona Village Hall.

And organisers believe that the group is essential for those with twin and multiple children.

Jenna Telford, a member and spokesperson for the group, said: “There is a huge need for this club in Peeblesshire as it provides an opportunity for families to meet and socialise with other twin and multiple families.

"Such support through sharing of hints and tips on how to cope with the pressures and challenges of life with twins and multiples is essential to the twin/multiple community.

“The club is always keen for new members so if you would like any more information, please contact Elisa Mackie, Chair, 07875725274, or check out the FB Peeblesshire Twin club page.”

The next meeting of the Peeblesshire Twin and Multiple Group is Friday, October 13 at Cardrona Village Hall from 1:30pm to 3:30pm.
