AS Tweeddale remembers the fallen this weekend, Helen Nisbet has sent us this photo of a remembrance bench beside Skirling's war memorial.
She told us: "I am a carer for SB Cares and work locally. While attending clients in Skirling last year I noticed that the bench had appeared and thought it was poignant.
"The bench was requested by Skirling Community Council, designed by resident Karen McDonald and then made by local Blacksmith David Gardiner."
