EXPECT plenty energy in the aisles of Peebles Library next week.

Local chef and entrepreneur Bosco Santimano will be delivering a talk on Energised Lunches on Tuesday afternoon.

And he is confident he has the recipe for everyone to enjoy a more productive working day.

The talk is being held as part of the Book Week Scotland and covers everything from what to eat and drink during the day to what foods and drinks to avoid.

Energised Lunches was devised by Bosco in the very early years of his You Can Cook enterprise to tackle employee lethargy.

His tips also combat stress, food intolerances and allergies, and non-productivity in the work place.

Bosco said: "We talk about what goes into your food and why you should know about some of the ingredients that are added.

"We are what we eat.

"So, come along and pickup handy tips on how to eat your way to a healthier and more energised life.

"Find out how food affects our moods too."

You Can Cook were the first social enterprise, back in 2012, to receive the Innovation Voucher Award by Abertay University in Dundee.

All of the recipes involved with Energise Lunches underwent nutritional analysis and organoleptic testing at the university.

Bosco told us: “We are thrilled to bits as we now have the recognition, expertise and evidence from the scientific community and this will give a much-needed boost to the work with do in communities all over Scotland."

Energise Lunches takes place at Peebles Library on Tuesday between 2.30pm and 3.30pm.
