BORDERERS have been warned to take care tomorrow following a warning of ice by the Met Office.
The yellow 'be aware' warning lasts from 1am until 11am on Saturday, February 3.
The forecaster said: "As we enter a spell of cold weather, a band of rain and snow will move into the UK overnight and into Saturday.
"Over high ground in Scotland, snowfall may amount to 2 or 3 cm in places. However the main hazards seem more likely to come from ice, where rain falls on frozen surfaces."
"Journeys by car, bike and foot may take longer than normal and there is an increased risk of injuries or accidents."
Scottish Borders Council said that gritters will be out to pre-salt priority routes from 6pm today (Friday), and will check again at 6am tomorrow, including footpaths.
