Borders man admits assaulting 13-year-old in Peebles
BACKGROUND reports have been ordered into a Peebles man who assaulted a 13-year-old child.
Ian Hutcheson of North Place, also admitted a charge of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner during a dispute with a neighbour on July 30.
Selkirk Sheriff Court was told that the 50-year-old struck the child in the face in North Street, Peebles, on October 12.
Sheriff Peter Paterson called for background reports to see if there was an alternative to a custodial sentence.
