TWEEDDALE residents are being given the opportunity to air their views on parking across the area.
Councillor Robin Tatler (Ind) has launched an online parking issues survey to gather views from the community, with feedback relayed to the Parking Issues Working Group.
The group was established by SBC to consider a variety of solutions to some of the problems caused by parking across the Borders, it will report to the authority at the end of the summer.
Councillor Tatler said: "The Working Group is looking for evidence of parking issues across the Borders, and this survey will give people in Tweeddale the chance to tell us what matters most to them when it comes to parking.
"Are there enough off-street parking places and should all of our car parks be pay and display?
"Has the removal of traffic wardens caused more inconsiderate parking – and would you like to see parking regulation de-criminalised with SBC or a private company taking responsibility for controlling parking?
"This survey, which will be available until the end of June, is a way for the community to let us know what is needed."
