A PEEBLESSHIRE pensioner has been accused of engaging an under age teenage girl he believed to be called Kelly in sexual communication through social media.
Seventy year old Philip McGill pleaded not guilty to the offence said to have happened at his home in Bellfield Crescent, Eddleston, between July 5 and July 11.
The offence was said to have been for the purpose of his sexual gratification or the humiliation and distress of a child who had attained the age of 13 but under 16-years-old.
A trial date has been fixed for June 19 at Selkirk Sheriff Court with a continued intermediate diet on June 4.
