38-year-old denies carrying out Peebles assault
A PEEBLES man will stand trial at Selkirk Sheriff Court on an assault charge.
Jamie Gibson, 38, is said to have punched a man on the head near his Old Town home on May 19.
He is also accused of wilfully and recklessly puncturing four tyres.
Gibson pleaded not guilty to shouting and swearing and behaving in an intimidating, aggressive and threateninig manner in the Neidpath Inn.
A trial is scheduled for September 11.
