THE Biggar P7s visited an autumnal Linlithgow for their annual festival which is always a competitive and enjoyable day.

First up were Watsonians and Biggar looked fresh and confident from the off consistently winning the ruck and quick ball with drives led by Ruadhri and Fraser. Biggar played on the front foot and the first try came quickly from a break down the left with Ruadhri passing to Murray to score. More tries came from Callum, Ruadhri, Jonathan and Fraser with a final score of Biggar 5 Watsonians 1 In the second game it was clear very early on that Linlithgow had some big powerful players and they knew how to ruck well.

By this time Biggar had lost Ruadhri to a shoulder knock and although others tried hard Biggar couldn't control the breakdown and were pushed off the ball too often which gave Linlithgow attacking options which they used to get three tries . Biggar's only try came from Ross. Final score Linlithgow 3 - Biggar 1.

In the 3rd game Biggar came up against last week's rivals Gala. The game panned through very similar to the previous match - it was a close affair but Gala were a bit quicker at the ruck and were confident to pass the ball wide quickly running in two tries without reply.

Last up were Falkirk who Biggar had beaten 6 - 1 at the start of the season. This time it was a different story as Falkirk used their big players to consistently make breaks which Biggar only just managed to contain. Eventually though Falkirk scored. For most of the last five minutes Biggar were camped on the Falkirk try line but just couldn't break the line. Final Score Falkirk 1 - Biggar 0 The P7s showed lots of commitment and effort with many phases of good play but couldn't quite link all the parts together on the day. There is however a real team spirit and something special developing in the squad.
