RESIDENTS have filled the Graham Institute in West Linton this evening to vote on proposed changes to the Whipman constitution.
Over 300 residents turned out to have their say if they wanted to change the constitution, and change the selection process relating to the Whipman Lass.
One of the Scottish Borders' oldest festivals, the Whipman week is held each year in Peeblesshire town.
The announcement on the outcome of the vote was made around 8.20pm, with 48 votes in favour of a change to the constitution and 286 votes in favour of keeping the constitution in its current form.
It was also announced there were two spoiled papers.
