A BUS company has amended its timetable in a bid to make it easier for Biggar passengers travelling to Glasgow.

Stuarts Coaches, which operate the Biggar to Lanark, route has amended the schedule by two minutes so commuters are now able to catch the connecting train.

Local MSP Aileen Campbell said: “This change will be welcome news for users of this service and has been something long called for from the community. Improving integration between our different methods of public transport is a priority for me as Clydesdale’s MSP and I thank Stuarts Coaches for taking this move.

“Hopefully this is a step forward to improving connectivity for those living in our rural areas and a better service for passengers.”
