A SEARCH has begun to reunite three books with their rightful owner in Peebles.
Tweeddale resident Wendy Robertson contacted the Peeblesshire News to make a public appeal to hand back the three volumes, all entitled The Book of Remembrance for Tweeddale. She said: “Whilst helping my mum clear out my dad’s office we came across several books. We believe he borrowed them from someone in Peebles around 15 years ago but, due to a long illness then his death, these were never returned.
“We would like to return these to their owner. If the owner could provide the full name and profession of my dad we would know these belonged to them.” If you recognise the books, contact Wendy on 07828 495840.
