A NEW Peebles hub has opened its doors to help locals save energy.

Change Works in Peebles opened for business in the Old Corn Exchange on the town's High Street last week.

Residents can benefit from free and impartial energy efficiency advice by Maddy Grant, a Home Energy Scotland advisor who will be based in the hub until the end of March.

Maddy said: "I’m looking forward to helping people save money on heating and electricity bills, keeping their homes warm and saving energy.

"I regularly speak to customers and many improvements can be made quickly and simply – people really appreciate the tailored and impartial support."
