The organising committee of last year’s Scottish Borders Walking Festival has decided to host its own spin-off walking weekend for Innerleithen, Walkerburn and Clovenfords.
This will be known as the Tweed Valley Walking Weekend and will take place from Friday, May 30, to Sunday, June 1, with a selection of 12 walks to choose from over the three days, ranging from 5.2 to 12.2 miles.
Full details of all walks are available at www.tweedvalleywalking.com where you can also make a booking.
A printed programme of walks will be available soon from EAE distribution points (found in libraries and many tourist attractions).
Organisers are this week putting out a call for people to help make the weekend a success by volunteering to lend a hand.
Could you lead or back-mark a walk, staff the registration centre, provide use of a 4x4, supply home baking or serve refreshments?
If so, fill in the form online at the following website: www.tweedvalleywalking.com/help and someone will be in touch.
