THE Accident and Emergency department at Borders General Hospital is continuing to outperform waiting times across other Scottish health authorities.
Figures released this week show that between 95 per cent and 98 per cent of patients are seen within the target four hours for each of the past four months.
The Scottish average for the same months range between 92 and 94 per cent.
May has proven to be the Melrose A&E department’s busiest month with almost 2400 visits.
