FAMILIES packed into Scotland’s oldest inhabited home for an array of attractions that included an Elvis Tribute Act, Wild West shows, classic American cars, live music and film.

The two days of the 33rd Traquair Fair last weekend proved to be a tremendous draw for young and old from across the region.

The Americana theme brought cowboys, country music, cajun food and cheerleaders to the stately home near Innerleithen.

Highlights included whip cracking, gun fights, fast draw and other stunning feats and Calamity Jane presented her own hilarious show, including her own line in lasso dancing.

The crowds were also treated to one of the world’s best Elvis Presley impersonators while Georgia’s Brooks Williams was among several top American artists and bands making an appearance.

For children there were theatre and puppet shows, including the Latin American inspired puppets from Cusan Theatre, arts and circus workshops, and face painting. Visitorsa also had the chance to sample foods from around the world and take part in workshops.
