A PENSIONER has been rushed to hospital after being involved in a collision with a car in Innerleithen.
The 67-year-old man suffered serious injuries in the incident involving a Ford Fiesta on the A72, Pirn Road, on Friday, December 3, at around 3.30pm.
He was taken by ambulance to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and the road was closed in both directions for three hours while investigators examined the scene.
Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
Sergeant Neil Inglis of the Road Policing Unit said: “We’re eager for anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who saw the Fiesta or the pedestrian shortly beforehand, to get in touch.”
