BRIGHT and colourful additions to the streetscape in Innerleithen have been praised by the town’s community council.
At Monday’s meeting, Ross McGinn from the Innerleithen Community Trust expressed his thanks to chairman Marshall Douglas for the community council’s £100 donation.
The money goes towards buying new plants for the hanging baskets to help spruce up the town.
Marshall said: “My thanks go to Ross and the Innerleithen Community Trust for everything they do. The town looks much better with the addition of the hanging baskets.”
Ross added: “We’re still looking for volunteers to help water the plants around Innerleithen. For anyone interested, please call 07468 599074.”
