AWARD winning broadcaster, writer and journalist Lesley Riddoch will be at St Ronan’s Primary School, Innerleithen, later this month for a one off, free event to discuss her book, “Blossom”.
She will answer questions and explain more about her thinking on Scotland, its community history and how Scotland could become a better place by focusing more on community partnership, ownership and engagement in order to let the nation flourish at the event on Wednesday, August 13, at 7pm.
Lesley relates stories of the many Scottish people she’s met: Blossom is an account of Scotland at the grassroots, through the stories of people she has had the good fortune to know, people she describes as ‘the most stubborn, talented and resilient people on the planet’. In her book she asks why is Scotland still the most unequal society and sick man (and woman) of Europe despite an abundance of natural resources and a long history of inventiveness?
