A NEW way of trekking through the Tweed Valley has just been launched.
And the venture near Innerleithen is already looking to the future with a new arrival.
Stewart Ramsay and Jean Macdonald of Innerleithen’s Velvet Hall Alpacas hope their Tweed Valley tours will bring a different dimension to local tourism.
They have already tied up a deal with the nearby Peebles Hydro with more than 75 bookings from guests.
Despite being more accustomed to the high peaks of the Andes the Velvet Hall animals are enjoying Peeblesshire.
Earlier this summer the pack of 12 became 13 with the arrival of Cria.
And Visit Scotland has given the trekking breaks business a three-star rating.
