POLICE are warning residents in Innerleithen to lock all doors and windows when leaving home.
It follows a report of a slip in theft in Ballantyne Street last month when a number of valuable items were taken.
It is the latest in a series of similar raids across the Borders.
During the month of September police received 43 calls to the Innerleithen area, including seven noise complaints.
Three reports of vandalism were also received. Cars were targeted in Leithen Crescent, Chamber Street and Ballantyne Street, however they have not been linked by police who have appealed to the public for information.
