LAST year’s Peebles Cornet and Lass are among four local ‘celebrity’ couples to take part in a charity quiz this weekend.
Ross and Eilidh Falla will join Beltane secretaries Alan Beverage and Davy Turnbull, Wardens of Neidpath Eric Gilmour and Ian Thorburn, plus Robert Barr and Steve Lee at Peebles Rotary Club’s event, based on the BBC TV quiz Pointless.
The topics can range from ancient history to words ending in ‘que’, with every one of the questions tested on 100 people.
All the contestants have to do is find an answer that no one else gave and score the jackpot – an answer that is completely pointless.
Tronn Nielssen from the Rotary Club of Peebles said: “There are still tickets available, so come and see your local celebrities trying to find the elusive pointless answer and win the prize money for their chosen charity.”
The event will take place at the Eastgate Theatre in Peebles tomorrow (Saturday) from 7.30 to 9.30pm.
Tickets cost £12, £6 for schoolchildren, and £25 for a family of four and can be purchased by calling the box office on 01721 725777.
